The Beginning of Spring and Fitness

This is an exciting time of the year for me.  I like seeing the flowers start to bloom and the end of winter.  But I'm even more excited for a new version of me this summer.  I'll tell you a little bit more about my fitness story and you may find that it's something you can relate to.
 
I never felt fully comfortable with my body before I got in shape.  I was never exactly obese, but I didn't have what I would call a nice figure.  It kind of started all the way back in high school.  I was a bit of an awkward student and only had a few close friends.  I never made the effort to reach out, and I never made any effort to take care of myself physically.  But I did get really good grades and went on to finish college with honors.
 
I ended up befriending someone who was really into fitness and the gym.  Unfortunately she was moving to a different city so she couldn't train me.  But she recommended I check out an online program to guide me in losing fat and putting on some muscle (to look "tone").  I did a little research on the Venus Factor weight loss program (the one she suggested) and it looked pretty good.  I decided to give it a chance.
 
I'm still early in my transformation, but I think this plan is really giving me everything I need.  The diet and workout information is really great, and this isn't some kind of scam or fad diet.  It is just good nutrition and strategically planned workouts.  I'm really learning a lot about how my body works: how to burn fat, the importance of resistance training for women, etc.  Overall I'm really pleased with my purchase.  I'm not saying this program is what you should do, but I think it is going to work very well for me. 
 
I'm looking forward to a new, more confident version of myself this summer, and I think I'll be proud of myself for what I achieve.
